The USPS operates the largest civilian vehicle fleet in the world. None of the mail moves if the trucks don't run. We are seeking highly skilled Automotive Technicians to manage, diagnose, and repair our massive fleet of Long Life Vehicles (LLVs), ProMasters, and 2-Ton Step Vans.

Technical Duties:

  • Perform complex computer diagnostics to troubleshoot engine, transmission, and electrical failures.
  • Execute heavy line repairs, complete brake overhauls, and preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize advanced welding and fabrication skills to repair aluminum bodies.
  • Serve as a mentor and guide to junior Garagemen and mechanics in the Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF).
